This is a lovely organic garden with an option to use an old fashion water pump. The garden is nestled beside a grand shade tree and has both sun and shade. Gardeners can relax at the picnic table on the grass. This peaceful garden was started in May 1999 by local residents, St. John's Church and the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. The City of Waterloo helped to prepare the land. This garden has newly installed wheelchair accessible pathways and raised beds through donations by Ontario Trillium Foundation, City of Waterloo, and Home Depot with the sponsorship of the Diggable Communities Collaboration. The Boardwalk TD Canada Trust and St John's Senior Citizens' Home sponsored a new water pump.
